Be Thankful....

Stumbled on this while I was clearing my emails...just like to share it :)

Be thankful....

For the husband who snores all night, because he is at home asleep with me and not elsewhere.

For my teenage daughter who is complaining about doing dishes, because that means she is at home & not on the streets.

For the taxes that I pay, because it means that I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party, because it means that I have been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work, because it means I am out in the sunshine.

For a floor that needs mopping, and windows that need cleaning, because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining I hear about the government, because it means that we have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with transportation.

For the noise I have to bear from my neighbours, because it means that I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing, because it means I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means I have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours, because it means that I am alive.

AND FINALLY.......for too much e-mail, because it means I have friends who are thinking of me.

Life without the EPL!!!

Last week was the first weekend after the EPL has ended…..

Suddenly, the weekends seem so empty…no football on TV…

How to pass my weekend??? The first ball will only be kicked on 6 Aug 05, Chelsea vs Arsenal in the Charity Shield…There is a football tonight @ 10 pm …West Ham vs Preston – Championship League Play-off, the winner will play in the EPL next season…no fish prawn also ok lah…

Saturday was so hot and don’t feel like going out…

Sunday while I was out, it was raining cats & dogs…

This morning, there were no school children fighting to get on the bus with me because they are on holidays….how I wish I am on holiday too….one month holiday…so very shiok…..

I Love You Darling...

朋友刚email来的。。。

一名署名約翰衛斯理的人寫了這樣一個故事。

一對夫婦在婚後十一年生了一個男孩，夫妻恩愛，男孩自然是二人的寶。男孩兩歲的某一天，丈夫在出門上班之際，看到桌上有一藥瓶打開了，不過因為趕時間，他只揚聲妻子把藥瓶收好，然後就關上門上班去。

妻子在廚房忙得團團轉，就忘了丈夫的叮囑。

男孩拿藥瓶，覺得好奇、又被藥水的顏色所吸引，於是一飲而盡。
藥水成份厲害，即使成人服用也只能用少量。男孩 OD （ Overdose 服藥過量 ），被送到醫院後，返魂乏術。

妻子被事實嚇呆了，不知如何面對丈夫。

緊張的父親趕到醫院，得知噩耗非常傷心，看兒子的屍體，望了妻子一眼，然後說了四個字。
作者叫讀者猜，這丈夫說了四個甚麼字？


答案是：「 I love you, darling! 」

作者說：這反應是 Proactive 的（ 即反過來控制局面，而不被局面控制 ）。

作者亦盛讚這丈夫是人類關係的天才，因為兒子的死已成事實，再吵再罵也不會改變事實，只惹來更多的傷心，而且不只自己失去兒子，妻子也失去兒子。

這故事，主旨是彰顯人類選擇的自我層次 ， 同一件不幸事你可以怨天尤人，痛罵社會，甚至自責無窮，但事情卻不因這些而改變，這一切只改變了你和日後的生活，負著疤痕的活下去。

反之，放下怨恨和懼怕，放下過去，勇敢的活下去，事情的境況原來並不如想像中壞，這就是作者所說的 Proactive Behavior，也就是我們所說的由人轉境 ，而不是被外界事物牽走 。

很簡短的故事, 但是,有多少人能做到呢? 當我看到那句 " I love you, darling! " 的時候,心中感概萬千,多麼簡單的一句話,但要有多久的修練,多大的包容,多深的人生智慧,才能在那種時刻說出如此令人動容的一句話,每個人都有不想讓人所知的不幸事,自己選擇了什麼方式去面對,又怎麼去面對未來以及週邊的人事物,與你分享我的感想,也祝福朋友你永遠順心喜樂!

昨天休假，看了跟同事借来的<<功夫>>粤语版DVD。

感觉还是粤语发音的笑话真的是太绝了！太好看了！

今天一直哼着那首主题歌<<只要为你活一天>>，虽然是一首非常老的歌(好象是刘家昌1972年发表的！！！33年了)，但经过重新编曲后，非常的耐听，尤其是曲中不间断的鼓声，更是把故事当时的意境表达得淋离尽致。

这曲我不知已经听了多少回，也听了黄圣依唱的这首歌，很哀怨，很配合戏中的剧情。今天也找到了歌词如下：

LIVERPOOL is Europe’s Champion

What a game!!!!

A miracle happened in the wee hours of this morning, in 6 mins, Liverpool reversed a 3 goals deficit to equal the score at 3-3 in the 60th min before beating Milan 3-2 in the penalty shoot out with Dudek saving the spot kick from Shevchenko…

What a comeback…..my next block neighbour was shouting non-stop for joy at 5.45 am!!

Liverpool won because they were hungrier, they wanted more and they fight even harder when the odds are down. Milan had 9 clean sheets in the Champion League (“CL”) and no team in the CL’s 50 years history has come back to win the match from 3 goals down. This is even better than Man Utd’s 1999 victory over Bayern Munich.

The 3 goals from Milan were largely Liverpool’s defensive mistakes and the clever vision of Milan’s Kaka where Crespo was there to put in the final touches (Mourihno – you still want Crespo back??). Kewell ‘s dismay performance gave Milan the edge in midfield in the first half.

Hamman came in for the second half replacing Finnan. The commentator said that the latter was injured but I think it is a tactical move by Benitez. Liverpool was a different team altogether. Hamman stop the advances by Milan and spray the passes to create the spaces and opportunities.

Liverpool came back in 6 mins of greatness with strikes from Gerrard & Smicer with Alonso scoring from the rebound of his penalty kick that Dede was only able to parry back to him to slot home from 2 yards.

Liverpool then dig in and defended all the way. The defining moment was Dudek’s double saves from Shevchenko in the dying mins of the extra-time. Lady luck smiled on Liverpool when Milan missed the first 2 penalty kicks and then Shevchenko’s kick struck the hand of the diving Dudek…the Stadium roared and Liverpool has won it by 3-2 on penalties.

I am still catching my breath from watching the game…many would say that this is the second time in a week that the better team did not win. But I would say that this is a different story from Arsenal’s penalty kicks FA Cup victory over Man Utd last Saturday, Liverpool fought and it showed that nothing is impossible, a miracle happened and they created the biggest comeback in football history.

Well done and congratulations to Liverpool and all the Liverpool fans out there…no one really think that they have a chance to go so far…

Now, the ball is in the English FA’s court again – are you going to send Everton, a team that lost 7-0 to Arsenal for next year CL or Liverpool, who won the CL Cup in such stunning fashion, for next year’s CL…think again English FA…think again very carefully.

Carrie won the American Idol!!!

Did not really catch the show, so sleepy after the Liverpool match….will catch Carrie later afternoon...

Still not sleeping yet because I am on leave tomorrow!!!! Yeh ;()

Why so happy??? Two reasons:

1. To watch the Champion League Final between Liverpool & Milan @ 2.45 am. This is the first time since 1999 when an English team made it to the final. The last time Man Utd won by scoring 2 goals in the last 3 mins of the game. This time around, I don’t think it will be so dramatic. Milan lost the Italy League Champion to Juv over the weekend and is still trying to get over it. Liverpool, though poor in the domestic league, seems to do well in the Champion League as it is hungrier for success to revive their great history. I am no Liverpool fan but I think Liverpool will nick it by 1-0….a goal from set play….Hypia the scorer…


2. To catch the result of American Idol at 8 am…Carrie will win it….definitely Carrie…..--<@

都是受到933DJ丁志勇的影响，每天都在说Blog的东西，再加上最近常听到看见有关博客的新闻(Mr Brown and Mr Miyagi), 想了很久,好不容易才下决心来玩一下。

听说佩芬,咏梅和丽仪也都是受害者！！！！

接下来 的日子，我将慢慢轻描淡写有关生活发生的事情，希望大家有空来坐坐谈谈。
